Who is the current head of the NAB Pakistan in 2024?
Nazir Ahmed Butt is the chairman (the highest rank in NAB) and the most powerful person in Pakistan's National Accountability Bureau.
He is a retired lieutenant general in the Pakistan Army who served as the 30th president of the National Defence University from 11 April 2016 to 19 December 2016.
He also served as Pakistan's military attaché in the US, and military secretary to the prime minister of Pakistan. On 4 March 2023, the government appointed him chairman of the National Accountability Bureau
On March 04, 2023, he succeeded retired NAB chairman Aftab Sultan in that post.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Organization
The bureau has two administrative officers: the Chairman; and the Prosecutor General of Accountability in Pakistan.
The Chairman is the head of investigation and serves a four-year term. Lt-Gen Syed Mohammad Amjad was the first chairman of the NAB Pakistan, Nazir Ahmed Butt is the present head of NAB.
Prosecutor General, the second most powerful rank in NAB, is the head of prosecution, and serves a three-year term.
Former judge Lahore High Court (LHC), Syed Ihtesham Qadir Shah is the current Prosecutor General of Accountability of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
